Dorothy Faye Wolf Mule Island-Poafpybitty passed away peacefully Friday April 14, 2017 At the Comanche County Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Comanche Community Center in Apache with Pastor Charles Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at the Cache Creek KCA Cemetery, west of Apache Oklahoma under the direction of the Comanche Nation Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Comanche Community Center in Apache with Lay speaker Ricky Horse officiating Dorothy was born February 15, 1956 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Raeferde Wolf Mule and Norman Island. She was raised by Orvel Cowan, her stepfather and her sister Darlene Wolf Mule. She grew up in Watonga Oklahoma. She was a proud member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma. Dorothy was a homemaker all of her adult life. She was married to the love of her life, Charles Poafpybitty for 34 years. She was a member of the Comanche Reformed Church. She also attended Petarsy United Methodist Church. She loved watching her favorite teams: OSU Cowboys and the Oklahoma City Thunders. She absolutely loved and adored her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She is survived by; her son Justin Poafpybitty of the home, children Julieanna Island and fiancé Edwin Flute, Cameron Island and wife Irene Perez, Chelsea Poafpybitty, Candace Todd Valle and husband Albert Valle and Janice Durant all of Lawton; Courtney Island Rivera and husband Juan Rivera of Canute; Michele Vanhoose, Sarah Poafpybitty, of Lawton; Lance Poafpybitty, Lionel Poafpybitty and wife Lisa of Idabel; Adopted sons; Roger Todd and Joseph “J.E.” Todd of Calumet; Special niece, Troylynn Poafpybitty of Lawton; forty grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends. There are so many people who loved her and she is already greatly missed. She was preceded in death by; her parents Raeferde Wolf Mule, Norman Island and Stepfather Orvel Cowan, four brothers George Little Bear, Paul Little Bear, Eddie Island and Billy Willis, one sister Darlene Wolf Mule, three Infant Children; Charles Allan Poafpybitty , Jared Allan Poafpybitty and Stephanie Janelle Island.
