Lloyd VanZille Hursh 1933~2017

Lloyd VanZille Hursh was born June 12, 1933 at Watonga, Oklahoma to George and Hulda Hursh and passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at the age 84. Lloyd grew up in the Watonga, Oklahoma area graduating from Watonga High. After graduation Lloyd worked for the WPA helping with the development of Roman Nose State Park, he then joined the United States Air force serving in the Korean War, stationed in Okinawa. After his discharge he began working for Beech Aircraft where he was director of logistics for 40 years. After his retirement he moved back to Watonga. Lloyd was a member of the First Christian Church in Watonga. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carol; one brother George Hursh Jr., and three sisters; Dorothy Powers Mayfield, Vivian McReynolds and Audrey Hursh. He is survived by: One son: Lloyd Hursh II and wife Tracy of Needville, TX; One daughter: Nancy Hursh of Wichita, KS; One brother: Howard Hursh of Watonga, OK; Four sisters: Nola Blehm of Kingfisher, OK, Jean Grove of Watonga, OK, Marie Holt of Rock, Kansas, Ruth Lage of Watonga, OK; Three grandchildren: Megan Hursh, Christine Hursh and Lloyd Hursh III; Four great grandchildren: Cameron Hursh, Meghan Burk, Christopher Burk and Blake Chamberlain. Memorial services for Lloyd Hursh will be held Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the IOOF Cemetery in Watonga, OK. Arrangements by Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga, OK
