Linwood Goff Sr., was born July 29, 1946 in Williamston, North Carolina to Milton and Roland Marie Goff and passed away on September 16, 2016 at the age of 70. He was a resident of the Watonga community for 37 years and joined the U.S. Navy for many years, then enlisted in the Oklahoma National Guard. He retired from the military in 2000. After the military he was self-employed until the day he passed from this world. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW as well as a Vietnam and Desert Storm Veteran. He married Esther Denny on May 26, 1967 in Long Beach, California and together the shared 49 years of marriage and they settled in Watonga, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents and Kenny Garl Goff and Mary Virginia Goff Baker. He is survived by his wife Esther of the home in Watonga. Two sons: Jerry L. Goff Jr. and wife Julia of Trumann, Arkansas, Nathan L. Goff and wife Becky of Watonga, OK, one daughter: Tammy L. Baker and husband Curtis of Canton, OK, four brothers: Milton Goff Jr., Gene Goff, Jimmy Goff all of North Carolina and Mike Goff of Watonga, three sisters: Peggy Pollard, Linda Proctor and Debbie Lewis of North Carolina, 11 grandchildren: Jerry Goff III, Jacie Goff, Jaxson Goff of Truman, Arkansas; Shane Coleman, Tiffany Coleman, Brittany Coleman of Canton, OK; Morgan Goff, Jessaca Goff, Jacob Goff of Watonga, OK; and Abigayle Tinney and Emmille Tinney of Sayer, OK., 4 great grandchildren: Macie Coleman, Mariah Coleman, Jaydon Coleman and Camdon Coleman of OK as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Memorial services for Jerry L. Goff Sr. will be held Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Trinity Baptist Church in Watonga, Oklahoma with Rev. Carrol Gilliland officiating.
