LaVada Marie Gould, 56 years old passed away Thursday November 17, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK, with her family by her side.
LaVada was born on September 29, 1960 in Clinton, OK to James Howlingwater and Marie Whitebird-Whiteman. She attended the Watonga Schools where she graduated. LaVada worked as the Administrative Assistant for the Cheyenne & Arapaho Tribe at Concho, OK.
She took pride in everything she did. She was well known for her artistic abilities as she could do bead work, sew, draw, paint and any kind of crafts. She could do it all.
She made her home in El Reno, OK. LaVada is survived by her mother Marie Whiteman of Watonga, OK and Adopted mother Sharon Byrd of Hammon, OK.

Brothers: Charlie and Dee Howlingwater-Thomas, OK, Barry and Niki Whitebird-Porterville, CA, Chester and Edwin Whiteman-Geary, OK, Greg and Alan Hart-Thomas, OK Children: LaKendra and David Penn-El Reno, OK, Laura and Dean Wermy-Cache, OK, Mollie and Curtis Harrison of the home, El Reno, OK
Grandchildren: LaReina and Hayden Gould-El Reno, OK, Kenneth and Jay’Lea Wermy-Cache, OK, Cairo and Trevor Harrison-El Reno, OK Several nieces and nephews.
LaVada thought of and loved all of her sister’s and brother’s children and grandchildren as her own. They all meant the world to her.
LaVada is preceded in death by: Father James Howlingwater, Adopted father Amos Byrd, Sisters-Janell Howlingwater and Wilma Cedar Tree-Horse, Brothers-James Bullcoming and Dondie Byrd, Sons-Derek Harrison and Steve Howlingwater, Grandson-Victor Gould Rodriguez.
